The Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on October 13, 2026, issued a notification regarding all ESIC Medical Colleges and Hospitals to strengthen and standardise Secondary Care services.
The following has been stated:
In reference to the minutes of the meeting held on October 06, 2026, it aims to standardise hospital departments, optimise utilisation of infrastructure and manpower, and eliminate external referrals for Secondary Care services across ESIC hospitals and medical colleges.
All required bids are to be finalised by December 31, 2026, and all mandated services are to be made fully operational by March 31, 2027.
All ESIC Hospitals and field units have been directed to take necessary action within the stipulated timelines. Further guidelines will be issued by ESIC Headquarters.
